Pericardium 6

Have you been experiencing heaviness in the chest/ feelings of heartbreak/ anxiety with chest tightness? You’re not alone. We've been hearing this a lot this week, and have been experiencing it ourselves. 💔

💙We tend to intellectualize our emotions, but it’s always interesting to pay attention to WHERE we feel our feels. In Chinese medicine, the lungs hold grief, and we tend to feel that in our upper chests. (Worry, however, is connected to upper digestive organs, and fear lives in the kidneys...)

💜Pericardium 6 is a great acupressure point to help get chest Qi regulated, and to calm the spirit. It’s commonly known for it’s ability to treat nausea/ morning sickness/ sea sickness but It has many more uses!

❤️This point is located 2 cun/ 3 finger widths below the wrist crease, in the middle of the tendons.

💛To activate it, use moderate pressure in small circular motion for 60-90 seconds. Close your eyes and imagine your lungs expanding in every direction while you inhale. Exhale any emotions that aren’t serving you. 💕💙
