Small Changes, Big Impacts

Here’s the thing about intentions/goals/resolutions... if you want to succeed, you need to set yourself up for success! That means setting small, attainable goals that you can build on through the year (see our 1% post from last week!). Puppies and kids learn beat through positive reinforcement and guess what!? So do you! (And you’re pretty cute, too! 😉 🐶 👶🏻)
Set yourself up for mini wins, and then congratulate yourself when you slam dunk that goal! Then, on to the next one.
Here are some of our fave any-time-of-year small changes that equal big impacts.

We love using the turn of the calendar year or month to let go of beliefs that haven't served us and to create new goals and intentions. But resolutions can backfire if you don't set yourself up for success. We suggest setting small goals- ones you KNOW you can accomplish- and build on to them throughout the year.

Here are some of our favorite any-time-of-year "small changes that equal big impacts" wellness tips!

  1. Get off to a well hydrated start. Drink 2 tall glasses of water BEFORE your morning coffee. You might find you don't need that 2nd cup!

  2. Find small ways to bring mindful breathing into your day. Spending a lot of time in the car? At every stop light, take 3 deep belly breaths. Your nervous system will thank you!

  3. Trying to work on your sleep habits? Set small goals for lasting results- try moving up your bedtime by 15 minutes every few days until you hit your goal (BONUS: leave your phone in the kitchen!)

  4. Want to cut sweets? Eat a savory, veggie-filled breakfast and you'll be less likely to crave sugar throughout the day.

  5. Not exactly "regular"? Magnesium Citrate before bed might help! This MAGic supplement helps your body AND your bowels relax, and can help get things moving.

Remember, you can start these changes at the beginning of the new year, a new month, a new week, or a random Wednesday! Just start!
