Solutions to Fall Allergies

Fall allergies can be just as bad as spring allergies, and if you think they're getting worse, you're actually correct! Due to climate change, allergy seasons have doubled in length and gotten more intense. The common fall culprit is ragweed, which releases a ton of pollen and causes sinus irritation and inflammation.

Here are 6 things you can do for allergy relief:

  • D-Hist Supplement:  D-Hist is our go to supplement for seasonal allergies. It includes herbs and compounds like nettles, NAC, and quercetin for nasal and sinus relief. We recommend trying this before OTC meds like Claritin. There is also a kids version here.

  • Propolis Spray: we love this by Beekeeper's Naturals for throat irritation for adults or kids. It's full of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. A few sprays a day keeps the allergies at bay.

  • Beekeeper's Superfood Honey + Fresh Ginger tea: honey is one of the best foods for seasonal allergies, and this superfood honeycombines propolis and royal jelly which have anti-inflammatory benefits too. We recommend stirring a teaspoon in with fresh ginger slices and hot water to make a honey ginger tea.

  • Acupressure: Give yourself 30+ seconds of acupressure on the points above to help open and drain your sinuses. Have a tissue nearby!

  • IndiGLOW Gua Sha Facial: Kelly's facials include gua sha tools and warm and cooling compresses to clear out the sinuses and get things moving. Book a session here.

  • Acupuncture: A recent meta-analysis found that acupuncture provided similar relief to Claritin and Zyrtec, without the side effects. Book an acupuncture session here.
