Air QI Quality

It’s common knowledge that putting good, clean food and water into our bodies is vital to balanced health, but what about that invisible stuff that we take into our bodies every moment of our lives? (The air we breathe!) In Traditional Chinese Medicine, we believe that the body's Qi comes from three sources - The food we eat, the air we breathe, and Qi given to us by our parents.

Breathing clean air is just as important as quality food and water when it comes to the Qi that we take in. Thinking of all the chemicals and pollutants in our air like carbon monoxide, radon, and even mold in our homes and places of work can be a little scary!

Here are some easy ways to take in some better quality “Air Qi”

*Plants! - Some easy to care for air purifying plants are Spider Plants, Dracaenas, and Devil’s Ivy

*Air Filters - look for any “HEPA” filter

*Himalayan Salt Lamps

*Limit chemicals in home - chemical-based household cleaning supplies, perfumes, and artificially fragranced candles (or switch to something made from plants and essential oils!)
